Beginning of the year update.

I’ve got good news and bad news.

First, the bad news.

Back in August, after publishing my debut fiction tale, The Visitor, I had several people inquire of me when my next story would be available.

imageHaving high hopes (and utterly unrealistic expectations), I estimated that my next story, The Island, would be available around the first of the year. Well, it’s the first of the year and not only is The Island not available, but I’m not even finished writing it yet.

So what’s the delay? Well, I’ve been sidetracked with four other projects. And that’s the good news.

Although The Island is not yet available, I’ve been spending my time spinning four more tales of speculative fiction. So what are those four new stories? I’m glad you asked. Here are their descriptions:

Jack keeps a monster in an old well. As long as it stays in the well, it is harmless, but if it escapes it could destroy all of mankind. The monster has remained captive for many years until the fateful day Jack reveals his secret to  a neighbor.

A woman discovers a stranger in her kitchen and her entire family missing.

A time traveler visits Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963 to stop the assassination of the president, but things don’t go as planned.

A man takes his family on a journey into the unknown universe in search of a habitable planet hoping to find an escape from the wars and destruction of home. But the grass isn’t always greener, even on other planets.

So, as you can see, although The Island is delayed in being published, several more tales have been brought forth. So, I’m sure you’ll forgive me.

Now, as for a new projected release date for The Island, let’s just say, I’m not going to make that mistake twice by venturing a guess. You’ll just have to keep checking back for updates on its progress. 🙂

  1. The Monster in the Well is mostly written. Just have to figure out the ending. Still stymied on how to peroperly end it.

While You Were Gone has a few lines but that’s all. Need to get crackin’ on that one.

In Search of Greener Grass is done. Just needs a few more pass-through reads to sharpen and tighten it.

A Funny Thing Happened in the Lunchroom is mostly written. Just like The Monster, I am trying to firgure out how to end it. I have several ideas that I’m working on and may even change the beginning too.
