Writing Advice

My favorite podcast for writers.

imageThere are more podcasts devoted to the craft of writing than you can shake a stick at. So today I wanted to share with my readers the one I like the best.

The podcast I’ve found to be most helpful (and entertaining) is Writing Excuses featuring Brandon Sanderson, Dan Wells, Mary Robinette Kowal, and Howard Tayler. I’ve been a regular listener for the past few years and I’ve learned a lot from their wisdom.

You can also visit their website here.

And an honorable mention goes to Mur Lafferty’s I Should Be Writing podcast.

If you’re serious about a career in writing, improving your writing, and the business side of writing, I urge you to check out both podcasts.

What I didn’t get done this week.

Fellow writers, how did your past week go?

I got very little reading done myself, and even less writing was accomplished. In fact, I didn’t write anything. But my excuse is that I was busy with some R&R.

I did, however, come up with yet another idea for a short story. It’s called Chambers and I added it to my Current Projects page if you’re interested to see what it’s about.

Even though I didn’t accomplish much in the way of the craft, I did have a tranquil view the whole week, and for that I cannot complain.

Have a great week ahead.
